The Child Health Research Project (CHR)

To help achieve USAID's strategic objectives to reduce childhood mortality and morbidity, the Child Health Research Project (CHR) conducts applied research on: diarrheal and respiratory diseases, malaria, measles and malnutrition. We identify and evaluate new technologies for improving case management and prevention of these illnesses, including methods of managing child health programs. CHR seeks to strengthen the problem-solving capacity of developing country institutions, and have research findings guide improvements in national health policies and the practices of health professionals. The project is implemented by five collaborating partners:

Harvard University
