INCLEN XVII will focus on the importance of research conducted by investigators in developing countries for improving the overall state of health of people in those countries, influencing health care policy and practice, and enhancing the global body of knowledge. The 2000 Global Meeting will highlight three topic areas:
- The extent to which research conducted by investigators in developing countries contributes to the advancement of global knowledge.
- Research collaboration in the 21st century in order to expand the valid and relevant knowledge for solving health problems in developing countries and beyond.
- Incorporation of research results into health care practice.
